Trump Wants to Make America Beautiful Again by Renewing Executive Order Overturned by Biden

President Donald Trump is working to make America beautiful again with a day-one executive order requiring new federal buildings to be beautiful and adhere to classical architectural traditions.

“Federal public buildings should be visually identifiable as civic buildings and respect regional, traditional, and classical architectural heritage in order to uplift and beautify public spaces and ennoble the United States and our system of self-government,” said President Trump in his executive order.

The order instructs the Administrator of the General Services Administration and the Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy, along with all relevant department heads, to provide Trump with guidelines within 60 days to advance his project.

This is not Trump’s first attempt to beautify the nation’s federal buildings and restore traditional architecture.

In December 2020, the final month of his first administration, Trump issued a similar executive order, opposing the concrete brutalism that has dominated federal architecture for decades.

The text “Former President Joe Biden quickly overturned Trump’s order.” is already correct and does not contain any typos or grammar mistakes.

The new order, coming at the beginning rather than the end of Trump’s administration, has the potential to beautify the nation’s federal buildings, even if his successor decides to undo the decision.
