President Donald Trump issued a proclamation celebrating persecuted Christians on June 1, the start of Pride Month, marking a significant change from President Joe Biden’s time in office when the White House held elaborate pro-LGBTQ celebrations.

“Today, I join the Coptic Orthodox Christian community in observing Global Coptic Day—a celebration of the ancient heritage, rich culture, and reverent worship of the Coptic Orthodox Church,” said President Trump.
“In 2015, 21 Coptic construction workers were brutally executed by ISIS terrorists in Libya. Like persecuted Christians all around the world, these heroic martyrs refused to renounce their faith—exemplifying their sacrificial love and steadfast devotion to God, even in the face of certain death,” he added.
Trump’s message commemorated Global Coptic Day, which celebrates Coptic Orthodox Christians, who primarily reside in Egypt and have done so for nearly 2,000 years, despite various and ongoing persecutions.
The president highlighted his recent work to protect religious liberty, including the creation of a Religious Liberty Commission and an executive order aimed at ending anti-Christian bias.
Trump also urged Americans to renew their faith in God and prayed for a renewal of religious adherence across the nation and world.
“As our Nation celebrates Global Coptic Day, we pray for an increased love of God and a rebirth of religious faith both in the United States and around the world. Today and every day, may the treasured traditions of the Coptic Orthodox Christian community serve as a light for all Americans—and may their unwavering devotion to Christ inspire our Nation to renew our love, faith, and trust in Almighty God,” said Trump.
Trump’s message of religious faith came on the first day of LGBTQ Pride Month, which has become analogous to the Christian Lent or Muslim Ramadan for radical leftists.
Pride Month has historically garnered statements of support from government agencies and corporations, while being used to justify various parades and events that expose children to sometimes sexually explicit content such as drag shows.
President Biden notably celebrated Pride Month with proclamations and a variety of publicity stunts, such as lighting the White House in rainbow colors and covering its pillars in the colors of the pride flag.
He sparked outrage from Christians last year when he issued a proclamation celebrating “Transgender Day of Visibility” on Easter Sunday.
