A raid in Norridgewock on Wednesday led to the arrest of two repeat offenders and the seizure of cocaine and fentanyl following a months-long investigation into drug trafficking activities in the area.

Somerset County Sheriff’s Deputies executed a search warrant at around 6:27 a.m. at the Clark Street residence of Kristin Libby, 37.

Detectives obtained the warrant after a months-long investigation into alleged drug trafficking activities at the residence. Four sheriff’s detectives, four patrol deputies, and three detectives from the Waterville Police Department executed the warrant.

Law enforcement allegedly discovered cocaine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and documentation related to drug trafficking, along with digital scales and drug packaging materials.

Police arrested Libby and Ty Peters, 28, of Fairfield, during the raid.

Libby faces charges for aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs. She was also out on probation for non-drug-related charges in Florida. Additionally, she had a prior felony drug conviction.

Peters was charged with aggravated trafficking in Schedule W drugs and violating conditions of release. He was allegedly out on bail following a prior drug trafficking arrest.

The drug trafficking charges are aggravated due to Libby’s prior felony conviction, the quantity of drugs seized, and because Libby’s residence is located within 1,000 feet of the Norridgewock Central Grade School.

Both are being held without bail at the Cumberland County Jail and have their first court hearings scheduled for December 3.
