Steven W. Freeman, 47, was sentenced to 20 years in prison in the U.S. District Court in Portland on Monday after he was found with hundreds of images of child sexual abuse material.

In July 2024, authorities received reports suggesting that Freeman was in possession of child pornography.
Federal and state law enforcement obtained search warrants and seized Freeman’s phone.
A search of the device revealed hundreds of images of child sexual abuse.
He pleaded guilty to possessing child sexual abuse material in July and was sentenced to 20 years in prison, followed by a lifetime of supervised release.
Freeman has a history of particularly vile sexual offenses. He is currently a lifetime Tier III Sex Offender registrant, following convictions for unlawful sexual contact, visual sexual aggression against a child, gross sexual assault, and, most disturbingly, sexual exploitation of a minor under 12.
