Police in Rockland arrested a man on drug charges on Thanksgiving Day who was already subject to nine separate active bail conditions.

At approximately 2:00 p.m., the Rockland Police Department responded to reports of a verbal domestic situation in a parking lot off Limerick Street. In addition to the domestic situation, the caller also reported that the male and female were using drugs.

Police arrived and made contact with two suspects: Andrew Blasius, 33, of Friendship, and Makayla Batty, 29, who is homeless.

Batty was arrested on an outstanding warrant for failing to appear in court following a prior arrest. Despite her alleged failure to appear in court, she was released on bail.

Blasius was allegedly found in possession of four or more grams of fentanyl and was arrested on charges of felony trafficking in scheduled drugs and violation of conditions of release.

He is being held without bail because he was found to be subject to nine active sets of bail conditions, including a prior felony drug arrest.
