Penobscot Sheriff’s Deputies busted two alleged drug traffickers on Tuesday after they reportedly initially failed to comply with a traffic stop in Milford.

At approximately 1:30 a.m., Penobscot deputies were conducting an unspecified investigation on French Settlement Road when they spotted a suspicious vehicle that reportedly approached their location and abruptly stopped.

Deputies reportedly observed multiple traffic violations and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

The vehicle reportedly failed to stop and continued traveling toward Greenbush.

Additional deputies responded and attempted to stop the vehicle, but the driver reportedly continued through Milford and Greenfield before eventually stopping in Greenbush.

Deputies searched the vehicle and reportedly discovered illegal drugs hidden behind the vehicle’s glove compartment and took the car’s occupants, Caleb Tremblay, 36, of Patten, and Milton Rennebu, 45, of Milford, into custody.

They were both charged with traffic and drug offenses.
