The Bangor Police Department arrested a man on Monday in connection with a stabbing incident that took place over the weekend.

On Saturday, police responded to Center Street for reports that someone had been stabbed with a knife.

When officers arrived, they determined that the male victim had been stabbed in the arm and sustained minor injuries following an altercation.

The suspect was identified as Hunter Targon, 20, but he allegedly fled on foot.

Days after the alleged stabbing, officers received information on Targon’s location and took him into custody on Monday without further incident.

He was transported to the Penobscot County Jail and charged with aggravated assault and violating conditions of release.

Jail records also show that he was charged with two counts of theft of property from a motor vehicle, but those charges were not mentioned in the police press release.

Targon was previously arrested in March after he allegedly attempted to break into a Center Street apartment in full view of police officers just minutes after they instructed him to leave the premises.
