The Brewer Police Department arrested five drug addicts last week after receiving a request from hotel staff to remove them from the premises.

Hotel staff called police requesting the removal of four hotel guests, though police arrived to discover five suspects.

During the investigation, police learned that three of the suspects were allegedly out on bail following a prior arrest, and were subject to active bail conditions.

While evicting the suspects from the hotel, police allegedly discovered illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia, and a firearm.

As a result of the incident, police charged five suspects:

  • Robert Kerr, 57, of Sangerville, was charged with possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs, and violation of conditions of release.
  • Emilie Gilman, 29, was charged with unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs.
  • Bryce Samuelson, 33, was charged with aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs.
  • Lillian Samuelson, 33, was charged with aggravated trafficking of Schedule W drugs, violation of conditions of release, and was arrested on three active warrants.
  • Daniel Joshua Meredith, 29, was charged with unlawful possession of Schedule W drugs.

Though the incident took place on April 15, police did not release information on it until Wednesday.
