Massachusetts Governor “Munchkin Mocks” Energy Crisis Using Donut Holes

BOSTON – Massachusetts Gov. Maura Healey announced a new executive order she claims would deliver enough energy to power 2 million homes while breaking it down in “munchkin” terms” so everyone could understand her initiative.

The X post by Healey included her profound explanation in a video that relates her “all-of-the-above energy strategy” to Dunkin’ Donuts donut holes. The jab at her perceived state’s intellect arrives at a time that Massachusetts and the broader region suffers from high-energy costs.

I just signed an Executive Order to bring enough energy into Massachusetts to power 2 million homes — and save families and businesses $10 million.

So how does our all-of-the-above energy strategy actually lower your bills?

Let’s break it down in terms everyone understands:… pic.twitter.com/BijgHM5XTB

— Governor Maura Healey (@MassGovernor) April 6, 2026

In her post, Healey detailed the executive order’s purported benefits before proceeding to illustrate a donut hole-based analysis which presented to viewers her proposed plans to lower bills for Massachusetts residents.

The choice of childish presentation drew rapid scrutiny from Massachusetts residents in response to the post. Precisely, in timing as state residents remain infuriated over energy costs.

While the Barney-style segment backfired in the background, the intended effort to simplify legislation to Massachusetts residents did not bode well.

Not only does her energy policy have “holes” in it, so does her head.

Her simplistic presentation misses one big factor – government policies that reduce the number of “donut holes” going into that box, for example elimination of coal fired power plants. Wind and solar are not panaceas, they only work part of the time and have their own environmental issues in manufacturing and end of life disposal.

As long as we continue to elevate people like Hold-It Healy (who hold us all in contempt as blithering idiots) to positions of power, we will continue to be subjected to drivel like this. (I sure didn’t vote for her.)

The use of DD donut holes in Healy’s speech is speechless. It makes Kamala’s word salads palatable.

That video is an insult to the intelligence of people from Massachusetts. And from the governor that banned a pipeline to bring in clean natural gas. Small wonder the state is ranked 2nd in most expensive energy in the country.

An energy crisis spawned by this administrations forced closure of reliable electricity sources in favor of unreliable intermittent resources, combined with the “firm power” NECEC transmission project that did not provide power during this past winter’s coldest days. This is what happens when government policy makers are unduly influenced by Alinsky devotees committed to “man-made climate change”; and attempt to meddle in industries they (& their people) do not understand.
