At approximately 8:35 p.m., the Portland Police Department initiated a traffic stop at the intersection of Hanover Street and Lancaster Street. Police did not specify what prompted the stop.

During the stop, police learned that one of the passengers was a 17-year-old male wanted on an extraditable warrant from Androscoggin County. He was arrested and transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center.

Officers identified the driver as Wyatt Boulette, 19, of Springfield, Massachusetts. He was arrested and charged with operating after suspension or revocation and violating conditions of release. He was transported to the Cumberland County Jail.

Police learned that the vehicle’s other occupant, a 17-year-old female, had been reported missing from Tilton, New Hampshire.

She was taken to the Portland Police Department and subsequently returned to her mother.

The Portland Police press release identified Boulette as a 19-year-old while the mugshot lists him as 18. It is not clear which is his actual age.

It appears that she was “missing” as voluntarily on her part.
