A Hancock County judge has finally put the brakes on convicted porn king and disbarred lawyer Eliot Cutler’s attempts at freedom.
Cutler, 79, failed in his bid Wednesday to persuade a judge that he would actually adhere to the conditions of bail if he were allowed out of jail.
Cutler, previously convicted of possessing child porn, was arrested two months ago on a repeated charge of violating his probation.
He had earlier served nine months in jail and was freed on so-called good behavior.
But since then cops say they have found him several times ignoring the conditions of his freedom.
He’s now facing another year in jail if convicted of the probation violations.
Cutler, who twice ran unsuccessfully for governor of Maine, admitted to cops during his most recent arrest that his attraction to child porn has been a lifetime addiction.
If true, that would mean that he was flirting with child porn at the same time he was asking Maine voters to put him in the Blaine House.

It’s about time they threw away the jail Key on Cutler. No why hasn’t the Gorham librarian been arrest?
Look how close he came to being Governor of Maine in the 2010 election. We would have had Elliot Cutler as Governor while Andrew Demers headed the Maine State Police. Lepage got 37.6% of the vote to Cutler’s 35.9%. Thank God LePage was a strong candidate and held him off. The state had a close call.
