The Westbrook Police Department recovered four stolen vehicles and arrested three suspects on Sunday after two of them attempted to flee.
Police received a report of two vehicles being stolen from Jacqueline Way in Westbrook.
Law enforcement was able to locate one of the vehicles on Teri Circle and the other at the Portland Motel 6.
The investigation led officers to identify three suspects and to locate a third stolen vehicle that had been taken from Kittery and dumped at Teri Circle.
While near Teri Circle, an officer was notified that a suspect was in the area. The officer attempted to stop the suspect, but he allegedly fled on foot.
After a pursuit, he was found and arrested.
Shortly thereafter, officers learned about yet another stolen vehicle related to the incident that was located on Central Street. That vehicle had been reported stolen from Kennebunkport.
Officers searched the area for the remaining suspects and located one on Saco Street. He also reportedly fled and was arrested after a short pursuit.
Westbrook Police K9 Kvo initiated a track to locate the third suspect. The dog led police to a residence on Brackett Street belonging to one of the suspects.
He was quickly located and taken into custody, and K9 Kavo located the keys to one of the stolen vehicles.
During the arrests, police found one suspect with a handgun and another with a knife, though they did not specify which suspects were found with weapons.
Police arrested Jacoby Muise, 28, of Westbrook on charges of theft by receiving stolen property and theft by unauthorized use of property.
Damien Charest, 18, of Old Town, was arrested on three counts of burglary of a motor vehicle, three counts of theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, aggravated criminal mischief, and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.
Conner Anderson, 19, of Naples, was arrested on charges of burglary of a motor vehicle, theft by unauthorized taking or transfer, carrying a concealed weapon, refusing to submit to arrest or detention, and aggravated criminal mischief.
None of the suspects currently appear in Cumberland County Jail records.
