Democrat Platner’s Nazi Tattoo Requires He Quit The U.S. Senate Race, Says A Ranking Fellow Democrat

Graham Platner is now taking incoming from his own party, including a congressman saying he’s disqualified due to his skin ink.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, U.S. Rep. Jake Auchincloss, D-Massachusetts, said he finds Platner’s now-famous “Nazi” tattoo a race-ender.

“I find that tattoo and his commentary about it to be personally disqualifying,” Auchincloss said. “I hope Maine voters agree with me.”

The controversy stems from Platner’s chest tattoo of a Nazi SS “Totenkopf” symbol.

He has denied knowingly displaying Nazi imagery, saying he got the tattoo with fellow Marines during a trip to Croatia in 2007 and did not understand its meaning at the time.

Auchincloss had previously become one of the first elected Democrats to publicly urge Platner to abandon the Senate contest against incumbent GOP Sen. Susan Collins after the tattoo controversy surfaced last year.

The congressman’s double-down comes as prominent Democrats have rallied behind Platner following Gov. Janet Mills’ withdrawal from the race.

“I think it would be a mistake for the Democratic Party to think that Graham Platner’s brand of the Democratic Party is what wins us durable majorities throughout this country,” Auchincloss said.

The Massachusetts congressman is now under fire himself from some Democrats, including a California congressional candidate who says he – Auchincloss – has now disqualified himself from being a Democrat by effectively supporting the re-election of a Republican, Collins.

Platner stated on his Redit and his Socialist Rifle Association bio account and on his original bio he is an avid WWII history buff and knows all of the data on the German WWII military. No ignorance on his part. He just knows his followers are stupid. I do like him and Bernie talking about how Collins has been in office too long …Bernies been in office in the Senate for 35 years plus .
Hell his yearly tuition for semi private high school was more that most Mainers made at the time.

Kudos to this fellow. He apparently didn’t get the memo that democrats stick together, no matter what.

It’s ok because Platner is the Democrat’s nazi. They accused President Trump of being a nazi, but when one of their own has an actual nazi brand, then it’s ok.
