The U.S. Department of Justice’s (DOJ) Task Force to Eradicate Anti-Christian Bias released a lengthy report last week detailing the myriad ways in which the Biden Administration’s policies targeted Christians.
“No American should live in fear that the federal government will punish them for their faith,” said Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche.
“As our report lays out, the Biden Administration’s actions devastated the lives of many Christian Americans. That devastation ended with President Trump. The Department of Justice will continue to expose bad actors who targeted Christians and work tirelessly to restore religious liberty for all Americans of faith,” he added.
The DOJ published its findings on Thursday, detailing a variety of infringements on Christians through violations of conscience rights, excluding Christians from public programs, and many other things.
The report found that President Joe Biden worked to eliminate protections for Christians when they conflicted with his policy goals.
The previous administration opposed concerned parents and used enforcement activity against those parents who spoke up at school board meetings, the report found.
Under Biden, the DOJ mandated the adoption of radical gender ideology across the federal government and revoked protections for employees who chose not to comply with things like preferred pronouns.
“The Biden Justice Department also considered requests for religious exemptions related to gender ideology as harmful conduct to be regulated,” said the DOJ.
The Biden DOJ also reportedly told White House officials in a phone call that any federal employees’ religious objections to the COVID vaccine mandate were insincere.
Biden’s DOJ reportedly published documents implying that Christians could not be the victims of religious discrimination, and officials sidelined any such discrimination claims made by Christians.
“The Department of Justice is committed to religious liberty for all and will continue to support President Trump’s mandate to eradicate anti-Christian bias throughout the federal government,” said the DOJ.
The report was compiled in compliance with President Donald Trump’s February 2025 executive order “eradicating anti-Christian bias.”
Since Trump took office, he has taken action to prevent schools from forcing gender ideology on students against the wishes of parents and has affirmed the religious protections of federal employees by rescinding the Biden-era Bostock Memo that pushed self-selected gender ideology as a protected class.
Trump has also promised to end the weaponization of the FACE Act, which Biden used to target Christians protesting outside of abortion clinics.
