Damarcus Bonner, 30, of Connecticut, and Tyrone Harris, 27, are facing federal charges on interstate kidnapping conspiracy in addition to state charges for their role in the alleged horrific kidnapping and torture of a woman.

The suspects allegedly kidnapped the victim from Claremont, New Hampshire.

They reportedly transported her to a residence in Springfield, Vermont, where they, along with others facing state charges, held her against her will for over 24 hours, tortured and beat her, and demanded money from her and others on her behalf.

The Springfield, Vermont, Police Department learned of the kidnapping and went to the residence in the early morning of January 25, 2026, and rescued the victim and arrested the suspects.

A search of the residence allegedly revealed a firearm, drugs packaged for distribution, duct tape used to bind the victim, and unspecified items used to torture her,

The suspects face up to life imprisonment.

A local news report from the time of the incident from the Valley News revealed more details.

The outlet reported that six suspects were arrested in connection with the crime and specified that the victim was found when police tracked the phone captors used to call the victim’s ex-boyfriend.

The victim reportedly told police that the suspects accused her of stealing $8,000 in narcotics from them.

She reportedly said that the incident began when she was at a friend’s house in Claremont and made arrangements with Nicole Palardy, 36, of Claremont, to purchase cocaine.

When approaching the dealer, she was allegedly kidnapped by Bonner and Harris, who took her in a truck operated by Jesse Emerson, 46, of Bellows Falls, Vermont, to a Springfield residence at 950 Randall Hill Road.

At the house, Jessenialyz Jones, 18, allegedly bound the victim with duct tape and struck her face and body.

The victim said her phone was stolen and used to contact others to demand ransom.

During her captivity, the victim allegedly suffered abdominal burns from a heated knife, was waterboarded with hydrogen peroxide, and was threatened with firearms.

The victim told police that later a second woman was also restrained and beaten by the suspects.

During the rescue operation, police allegedly also seized fentanyl and suspected cocaine scattered throughout the residence.

The second victim was allegedly a resident of the Randall Hill Home and reportedly told police that the primary victim had previously frequented the home to purchase illegal drugs.

Sheldon Stocker, 37, who lived with the second victim, was also charged.
