At approximately 10:57 p.m., Somerset Sergeant William Crawford was patrolling in Anson and conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle operated by Jessica Salisbury, 49, of Skowhegan; Zechariah Sawyer, 24, of Skowhegan, and Jason Smith, 40, of Anson.
During the stop, Crawford learned that Salisbury was subject to active bail conditions that prevented drug use or possession and allowed searches without reasonable suspicion.
Sawyer was subject to the same conditions due to his probation conditions.
Crawford initiated a search of the vehicle and the occupants, and allegedly discovered 11 grams of crack cocaine, five grams of fentanyl, 13 Suboxone strips, and two grams of an unknown white powder along with a small amount of methamphetamine.
He arrested Salisbury, who was charged with unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, unlawful possession of scheduled drugs, and violation of conditions of release. She is being held without bail at the Somerset County Jail.
Smith was also arrested and charged with unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and possession of scheduled drugs, and is being held on a $75,000 jail.
Sawyer was not arrested.
