Maine’s southern-district congresswoman falsely claims the Supreme Court’s “transsexual” ruling “bullies kids.”
In fact, the decision merely keeps boys out of girls’ sports.
It doesn’t forbid boys claiming to be girls from playing on transsexual teams.
The bottom line is so-called trans kids are welcome to be athletes – but not on mixed-gender squads.
The court, in an opinion written by Brett Kavanaugh, said that “the states may maintain women’s and girls’ sports for biological females. They may determine eligibility for women’s and girls’ sports based on biological sex.”
That of course is not what Chellie Pingree is claiming as she portrays the ruling as using kids for “political punching bags.”
By falsely interpreting the ruling, it’s Chellie Pingree who is politicizing the issue.
how about keeping girls out of the Boy Scouts?

I’m not at all surprised at Pingree’s twisted response. She is so fixed on her agenda that she refuses to see the protective nature of separating girls and boys in organized athletics. Pingree is so partisan she would even vote alongside the infamous Squad to declare the slogan “From the river to the sea . . . Palestine must be free” NOT antisemitic. I would be shocked if Chellie could even name the “river” OR the “sea”! Perhaps it’s time for Maine’s U. S. Representative Pingree to spend less time in her turnip patch and MORE time examining the issues.
