President Donald Trump reversed course on the widely reported end to ICE traffic stops on Wednesday morning in a statement praising the agency and calling traffic stops one of its most important tools.

“The men and women of ICE are doing a GREAT job, one that has to be done. CRIME IS WAY DOWN IN AMERICA, in many cases with numbers that haven’t been seen in decades. The Open Border Policy of Sleepy Joe Biden allowed 25,000,000 people to pour into our Country, unchecked and unvetted. Many were Criminals, and we have to get them out. In order to do this, we must be strong, tough, and smart, and we CANNOT give up one of I.C.E.’s most important and effective Crime Fighting tools, THE TRAFFIC STOP,” said President Trump.
“Once we do, we are playing right into the criminal’s hands. The Radical Left Dumocrats would like to see this done, but it won’t happen on my watch. I.C.E., be judicious, fair and smart, and go back and do your very important job. Keep those Crime Stat Records coming! Remember, you are loved and respected in America,” he added.
The president’s statement was reposted by the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), apparently confirming that the agency will no longer be ending traffic stops.
Multiple sources reported on Tuesday that DHS had ordered ICE to immediately cease traffic stops in the wake of the fatal shooting of Joan Sebastian Guerrero, 26, of Colombia, in Biddeford on Monday.
The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing, and it is not currently clear whether ICE agents were acting in self-defense. One witness claimed to have seen the driver attempt to run down agents, but DHS’s own statement on the shooting did not mention that the agents believed Guerrero posed a threat.
Following the shooting, The Daily Wire and Fox reported that ICE would cease all traffic stops indefinitely, citing multiple sources in the administration.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) confirmed their reporting.
Sen. Collins issued a statement saying that she had requested that ICE cease traffic stops and thanking the department for following her request.
“I spoke with DHS Secretary Mullin last night and urged him to cease all non-urgent vehicle stops in the wake of yesterday’s deadly Biddeford shooting. I am encouraged that the Department has agreed to do so,” said Collins.
“While it is clear ICE needs to improve its performance, it is important to remember that the work ICE does to protect our country goes far beyond immigration enforcement. ICE’s Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) is tasked with combating cartels, human smuggling, child exploitation, forced labor, and more. Eliminating ICE would make our country less safe and endanger the lives and welfare of countless individuals,” she added.
The Maine Wire reached out to Collins’s team for comment on the department’s reversal, but it did not immediately respond.
You just know the paid anti ICE supporters and the democrat politicians here will cause more chaos like they are doing in Biddeford stopping traffic yesterday, causing HUGE scenes screaming at people. More pro ICE people need to get vocal and put these little turds in a corner for a very long TIME OUT.
Maybe someone should tell the illegals to obey the officers commands, better yet maybe they should self deport.

I see were the Person who was shot in Biddeford was making payments on the KIA he was driving but the car was registered to some one else! That is a good reason why ICE shot the wrong person. Second, if you got in an accident with that car YOU would NOT get PAID!!! Un insured motorist you know and he has self deported. Follow the law when an officer tells you to stop the car do it. If the officer asks you for drivers license and insurance either give it to them or say you don’t have either. Don’t be stupid and try to take off or try to run over the officer. If you do it won’t be in your best interest.
