The Maine State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office was called in on two separate fires over the weekend in Turner and Farmington, the first of which remains under investigation.

On Saturday around 5 p.m., the Turner Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at a single-family residence. When crews arrived, they found two sheds fully engulfed in flames. Both sheds, located next to each other, were destroyed. No residential buildings were damaged, and the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

On Sunday around 2 p.m., the Farmington Fire Department responded to a structure fire at the Troll Valley Campground on Red Schoolhouse Road. Firefighters brought the blaze under control with help from mutual aid departments.

Investigators determined that the Farmington fire started in a confined space between the basement and first floor. The cause was ruled accidental.

No injuries were reported in either fire, though one cat died in the Farmington fire. The building sustained significant damage.
