A driver from New Jersey allegedly hit a cyclist in Scarborough on Tuesday before failing to stop, striking another vehicle, and eventually coming to a stop after hitting a wooden fence.

At approximately 10:40 a.m., the Scarborough and Old Orchard Beach police responded to a reported crash near the Clambake Restaurant on Pine Point Road.
Investigators allegedly learned that Caril Rocchini, 63, of New Jersey, was driving a Nissan Altima when she struck a cyclist in front of the restaurant.
The cyclist was identified as Nancy Thiele, 66, of Nevada.
After striking the cyclist, Rocchini allegedly failed to stop and continued traveling on East Grand Avenue in the direction of Old Orchard Beach.
While traveling on East Grand Avenue, Rocchini reportedly struck a white Dodge pickup truck driven by Louis Baker, 63, of Vermont.
She finally came to a stop after striking a wooden fence along the roadside.
Both Thiele and Rocchini were transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
First responders evaluated Baker and his passenger at the scene and released them.
East Grand Avenue was reduced to one lane near Pine Point Road for approximately one hour during the response.
The investigation remains ongoing, but police have not yet announced any charges related to the incident.
