A new poll from Senate Majority PAC, a billionaire-funded left-wing super PAC, gave Democratic candidate Troy Jackson a four-point lead over Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine).

“A third straight poll shows us what we already know. No amount of billionaire money can overcome an organized movement of working Mainers fighting for an economy that works for us. Susan Collins should be very concerned,” said Jackson on X.

Hart Research conducted the poll on behalf of the Senate Majority PAC from July 27 through August 1. The PAC first released its results on Thursday.

The poll of 802 likely voters found that Jackson leads Sen. Collins in a 49-to-45 percent matchup, with a significant six percent undecided.

Pollsters pointed out that Collins’ polling numbers are worse now than they were at a similar time during her 2020 face-off with Sarah Gideon.

The poll gave Collins a 46 percent approval rating compared with 52 percent who said they disapprove of her performance.

Hart Research said that it found that voters are more concerned about negatives voters are likely to hear about Collins than negatives about Jackson. After hearing the information about both candidates, Jackson’s lead expanded to eight points.

Hart and the Senate Majority PAC very conspicuously failed to specify what negatives about each candidate were presented to respondents.

While Jackson has made his contempt for billionaires a pillar of his campaign, he is happily accepting support from the billionaire-funded Senate Majority PAC.

Federal Election Commission (FEC) data shows that the PAC has raised over $174 million since the start of 2025.

According to the PAC, it has spent $33 million on TV ad reservations dedicated to getting Jackson elected.

Hate to say it but Susie has good chance of losing. To many Conservatives are tired of holding their noses and voting for the lesser of two evils. The worse part is it will affect the rest of the ticket.
Hope I am wrong …
