Penobscot Deputies Make Three Unrelated Domestic Violence Arrests in One Day

The Penobscot County Sheirff’s Department made three domestic violence arrests on Monday all following unrelated disturbances in Burlington, Milford, and Corinth.

At approximately 4:20 p.m., deputies responded to a reported domestic incident in Burlington.

During the investigation, officers allegedly developed probable cause to arrest Olivia Carpentier, 30, of Burlington. Carpentier allegedly assaulted and threatened her partner and threatened to burn down their home.

She then reporedly resisted arrest and refused to comply with officer orders, though she was eventually taken into custody.

She was charged with domestic violence assault, domestic violence criminal threatening, criminal restraint, obstructing government administration, and refusing to submit to arrest.

Carpentier was previously reported missing for multiple weeks last fall.

Hours later, deputies responded at 8:22 p.m. to an incident in Milford.

Deputies allegedly determined that the suspect, Gary Mills, 71, of Milford, had threatened to set his home on fire.

He was arrested and charged with domestic violence terrorizing and transported to the Penobscot County Jail.

Later, at an unspecified time, deputies received a report of a domestic incident in Corinth.

Deputies arrived to discover that Linwood Hamilton, 60, of Corinth, had reportedly kicked a chair out from under his partner following an argument and caused injuries.

He was arrested and transported to the Penobscot County Jail, where he faces charges of domestic violence assault.
