Several deputies responded to the string of burglaries over the weekend of June 20-21.
During the investigation, Deputy Jack LePage obtained information that led him to identify six juveniles in connection with the crime spree.
The suspects ranged in age from 15 years old to as young as ten.
Deputy LePage recovered stolen Nike Air Jordan shoes, wallets, keys, and a 9 mm Glock handgun.
Two of the juveniles were not charged because Maine statutes prevent charging minors under the age of 12 with crimes.
The other four cases will be forwarded to the Somerset County District Attorney’s Office for potential charges and to the Juvenile Community Corrections Officer.
There is no indication that any of the juveniles were actually taken into custody or transported to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland.
It is not clear why details were not released until more than a week after the burglaries took place.
